Lucent Cash Loans FAQ
Common questions borrowers ask about Lucent Cash loans — from applying and approval to repayments, credit reporting and problem resolution. Did not find your answer? Email [email protected].

Applying
How long does the application take?
About five minutes if you have your checking account details handy.
Does applying affect my credit score?
Reviewing your request may involve a soft credit inquiry, which does not affect your score. A hard inquiry only happens if you accept an offer and sign the agreement.
Do I need a cosigner?
No. Lucent Cash loans are unsecured and are issued in a single borrower's name.
Can I apply from my phone?
Yes. The application is mobile-friendly and works in any modern browser.
Approval & Funding
How fast will I know if I am approved?
Most applicants see a decision within moments of submitting the form.
When do I get the money?
Signed agreements completed before the daily cutoff on a business day are typically funded the next business day by ACH direct deposit.
What if I apply on a weekend?
You can apply any time. Weekend applications are processed on the next business day.
Can I get a loan with bad credit?
Yes. We consider income and bank activity alongside your credit report. A low score does not automatically disqualify you. See our complete bad credit loan guide for approval tips.
Rates & Terms
What is the APR range?
APRs typically range from 5.99% to 35.99%. Short-term and small-dollar offers may carry higher APRs.
Are there origination fees?
Where state law permits, some offers include an origination fee of up to 8% of the loan amount, deducted from loan proceeds. The fee is disclosed before you sign.
Is there a prepayment penalty?
No. You can pay off your loan early and save on interest.
How long are repayment terms?
Terms typically run 3 to 24 months, depending on the loan amount and state.
Payments
How do I make my payments?
Most loans are repaid by automatic ACH withdrawal from your checking account on the due date in your agreement.
What if I need to change my due date?
Contact support before your due date. Many lenders can shift a due date one time with notice.
What happens if I miss a payment?
A missed or returned payment can trigger a late or NSF fee and may be reported to credit bureaus. Contact us before the due date if you anticipate a problem.
Can I pay extra toward principal?
Yes. Extra payments reduce the balance interest accrues on and shorten the payoff.
Credit Reporting
Will my loan be reported to the credit bureaus?
Payment history on many of our installment loans is reported to one or more major credit bureaus. On-time payments can help build credit over time.
Will a missed payment hurt my credit?
Yes. Late payments reported to the credit bureaus can lower your score.
Eligibility & State Availability
Who can apply?
U.S. citizens or permanent residents aged 18 or older (19 in some states), with verifiable income and an active checking account.
Are Lucent Cash loans available in my state?
Availability, maximum amounts and APR caps depend on state law. During the application, only offers from lenders licensed in your state are shown.
Can I get a Lucent Cash loan if I am self-employed?
Yes, if you can document steady income. Common proof includes bank statements and recent tax returns.
Problems & Support
What should I do if I cannot repay?
Contact [email protected] before your due date. Many lenders can discuss hardship options or short extensions.
Who regulates Lucent Cash?
We are not a lender; we match borrowers with lenders that are licensed in each borrower's state and regulated by the appropriate federal and state agencies.
How do I update my contact information?
Email [email protected] with your request. For loan-specific changes, contact your loan servicer directly.
